Our season will open with a new production of Verdi’s tragic masterpiece.  One of the most popular operas in the repertoire, it has fresh appeal every time it is performed, and contains some of Verdi’s most beautiful and poignant music.

The Cunning Little Vixen                       Leos Janáček

Jonathan Lyness and Richard Studer return for their seventh season at Longborough to head this new production of Janáček’s beautiful opera, set in a forest, with a cast of humans and animals.

This is a revival of our 2007 production, with most of the same cast.  Anthony Negus will again conduct.  This will be an excellent chance for those who missed it to see this critically acclaimed production.

Midsummer Concert

Come and celebrate Midsummer’s Eve with a gala concert of opera excerpts presented by a cast of singers, including artists particularly associated with Longborough.   This will be a special fundraising event for Longborough Festival Opera.
