Our Artist-in-residence for 2010 will again be local artist Caroline Green. Caroline drew the sketch of the Opera House which has become our logo (as on the title bar above!) and has designed our Christmas Card for 2009, our Gift Voucher Card, and some of our programme covers.  Caroline will be returning in 2010.

Caroline Green trained in Fine Art at Cheltenham College of Art and Design in the late 70’s, where she was particularly praised for her drawing skills.

Describing her work she says “I particularly enjoy colour and light, but also like to capture movement in my work – especially when painting things that are alive!” She enjoys working in mixed media. This allows her to use watercolour, pastel, acrylic and charcoal in various ways, in fact ‘anything goes'.

Caroline regularly exhibits at The Gallery @ The Guild in Sheep Street, Chipping Campden. Her work can always be seen on the walls of The Coach and Horses, Ganborough, near Longborough, at the regular Moreton-in-Marsh Art Group and the Blockley Art Society events, and sometimes at  The Churchill, Paxford and The Black Horse Inn, Naunton.  She has had one-woman shows at the Longborough Farm Shop and has  been featured at Banners Art Gallery, Stow-on-the-Wold.
