Nick Merryweather

Nicholas Merryweather Don Giovanni
Nicholas Merryweather trained at University College London, the Hochschule for Musik in Cologne and at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has worked for British Youth Opera, Glyndebourne, Aix-en-Provence Festival, and English Touring Opera in roles including Dandini, Escamillo, Aeneas, Leporello, and Figaro in Paisiello’s The Barber of Seville.  He sings regularly in concerts throughout the UK and has sung recitals in France German and Greece.  Oratorio work includes the premiere of Karl Jenkins Armed Man Mass for Peace which he subsequently recorded with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.  He sang the title role in The Marriage of Figaro for LFO in 2009

 

Stephanie Corley

Stephanie Corley Donna Elvira
Stephanie Corley studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and the National Opera Studio (2006/7), supported by several awards. Operatic roles have included Musetta La Bohème and Hanna Glawari The Merry Widow for Scottish Opera on Tour, Pamina Die Zauberflöte and Marzelline Fidelio at the Glyndebourne Festival, Fiordiligi Cosi fan tutte for Opera by Definition, Ines Il Trovatore at Opera Holland Park, Countess Almaviva The Marriage of Figaro for Iford Opera, Desdemona Otello for Graham Vick’s Birmingham Opera Company, Fiordiligi Cosi fan Tutte for Diva Opera, Contessa Almaviva Le Nozze di Figaro for LFO.

 

Elizabeth Donovan

Elizabeth Donovan  Donna Anna
Elizabeth Donovan was born in South Wales, and studied at and at the National Opera Studio, London. She has won several internationl prizes and in 2003 she represented Wales in the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. She is generously supported by the Peter Moores Foundation. As an Associate Artist for WNO Elizabeth’s  roles included Zerlina Don Giovanni, Barbarina Le Nozze di Figaro, First Lady The Magic Flute, Berta  Il barbiere di Siviglia, Flowermaiden Parsifal, Echo Ariadne auf Naxos. She has sung roles with ETO, Scottish Opera, Diva Opera and Chelsea Opera Group. Plans include Dorabella Cosi fan tutte, Junon Orphée aux Enfers for Diva Opera and she is singing Ortlinde Die Walküre LFO.

 

Byron Jackson

Byron Jackson Leperello
Byron Jackson  is from Birmingham and studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire. Since then he has sung in many venues, including Sadler's Wells, the Royal Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall, and Opera de Lyon in France, in a wide range of operatic roles. He appeared as a soloist in Orff's Carmina Burana, Handel's Messiah, Verdi and Mozart's Requiems, Bach's St John Passion and Haydn's Nelson Mass, and Bernstein's Mass. In Autumn 2009 he Most returned to Birmingham Opera Company in a new production of Verdi's Otello.

 

Martene Grimson

Martene Grimson Zerlina
graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music completing her studies at the Royal College of Music and the National Opera Studio.   Her operatic engagements include Susanna Le Nozze di Figaro for LFO and Opera East; Ilia Idomeneo for Pinchgut Opera in Sydney; Glauce Medea for Nationale Reisopera; First Witch Dido and Aeneas for Opera North; Dorinda Orlando at the Wigmore Hall; Mrs Gleaton Floydd’s Susannah and Laurette Bizet’s Le Docteur Miracle for Wexford Festival; Melia Apollo and Hyacinthus - Mozart, Nice La Danza Gluck) and Sivene Le Cinesi Gluck for Bampton Classical Opera.

 

Mark Milhofer

Mark Milhofer Don Ottavio
Mark Milhofer was a choral scholar at Magdalen College, Oxford, studied at the Guildhall School of Music and the Opera Studio in Milan. Recent highlights have included Prunier La Rondine and Il Conte di Bosco Nero La Vedova Scaltra, both for La Fenice,  Lysander A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Dublin and Bemonte Die Entführung in Salzburg.    Other performances have included Don Narciso Il Turco in Italia in Turin, Ernesto Don Pasquale in Belgium and over 80 performances as Ferrando Così fan tutte, in Giorgio Strehler's renowned production in Beijing, Moscow and throughout Europe.
