Further Information about our Education Day will be available in late spring.

The subject of Longborough’s education programme in 2007 was Les Misérables School Edition. Directed by Maria Jagusz, this production was presented for one night to a full house. A company of more than 30 young people delivered a performance packed with all the enthusiasm of youth and the commitment of seasoned professionals.  The production was complemented by a series of schools workshops led by Maria, assisted by principals from the cast.  Schools in Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire and in Birmingham spent two hours working on scenes from the show.

Longborough Festival Opera will continue its popular educational programme with workshops relating to Das Rheingold and the Cunning Little Vixen.  Workshops are available to schools in the area of Longborough and also in Birmingham.

Are you a school who would like further information about our workshops?

WORK EXPERIENCE AT LONGBOROUGH

We have provided work experience for school students from year 10 and upwards as well as gap-year and university students every year since 1998.

There are places in the opera office, front of house and backstage. This last season we welcomed students of singing, drama and textiles, who helped out in various capacities.  We love having these young people here during the season and are very grateful to them for their part in the development of what we are doing here.
