Frequently asked questions

Is the event held indoors?
We have an opera house seating 480 in proper theatre seats. 

Where are you?
Please a look at our Find Us pages for map and directions.

Do you have disabled access and facilities?
We do have disabled access … but please advise us at the time of booking so that we can give you more information and make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Can I park by the Opera House?
You may park near the Opera House in order to allow a disabled person and carer to get out.  The car must then be parked further way.

Is it black tie?
Black tie is optional. About half our audience will choose to wear evening dress, particularly at weekends – others will adopt a more casual dress code.

What time does the performance start?
Most of our performances commence at 6.30 p.m. – full details are available elsewhere on this site

How long is the interval?
Usually our interval is 90 minutes long.

Can I buy food on site?
There is a restaurant and Buffet Marquee on site, where dinner is served, but this needs to be pre-booked.

Is there a bar?
There is a bar serving wine, champagne, fruit juice and coffee in the ground floor foyer, and a champagne bar at first floor level.

Where do I picnic?
There is a choice of areas to picnic

Do you accept credit cards?
At the moment, we only accept cheques or cash.

Where is the nearest railway station? How far is it from Longborough?
The nearest railway station is at Moreton-in-Marsh, about 3 miles from Longborough.  A taxi can be booked from Moreton to Longborough.

Is the performance in English?
Some of our productions are in English, some in the original language, with surtitles.

Is there heating/air conditioning in the Opera House?
At present there is no heating or air conditioning in the Opera House.
